The helmet Point is a prominent headland at the Borchgrevink Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the western part of Moubray Bay, it is located at the southwest end of Honeycomb Ridge . The headland consists of brown granodiorite , shows lush vegetation of mosses and lichens and is the breeding area of the snow petrel and the spotted petrel .
Participants in the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition campaign, which ran from 1957 to 1958, named the headland after Arthur Stanley Helm (* 1914), Secretary of the New Zealand Ross Sea Committee from 1957 to 1964.
