Hedley Mattingly

Hedley Mattingly (born May 7, 1915 in London , † March 3, 1998 in Encino , California ) was a British actor who was best known in Germany for his participation in the television series Daktari .

Life

Mattingly served in the Royal Air Force during World War II . He and his wife emigrated to Canada in the early 1950s . At the end of that decade he began working as an actor. His focus throughout his life was television productions, interrupted by only a few film appearances. In 1963 he had his first major appearance in a cinema production in What this woman is doing . From 1966 and 1969 he took on the role of District Officer Hedley in the series Daktari . Up to and including 1996 Mattingly was seen in film productions.
