Hedy Aschermann

Hedy Aschermann (born March 4, 1897 in Kassel , † June 5, 1978 in Hofgeismar ) was a German violinist .

Life

Hedy Aschermann, Catholic, was born in Kassel in 1897 as the daughter of Government Secretary Rudolf Aschermann and his wife Mathilde Matthiesen. From 1908 to 1918 she attended the conservatory in her hometown. After completing school at the Lyceum , she was a teacher at the Conservatory in Kassel from 1918 to 1920. In 1920 she began studying the violin with Géza de Kresz in Berlin, which she continued with Edgar Wollgandt in Leipzig and with Max Strub in Dresden and Weimar. From 1921 she worked as a music teacher and concert violinist in Kassel. She was a member of the Berlin Tonkünstlerverein . Aschermann married the pharmacist and politician Arthur Cybulla (1886–1955) in 1927 .
