The Heeresbekleidungsanstalt (HBA) in Brunn am Gebirge in Lower Austria is a barracks of the Austrian Armed Forces . Organizationally, the barracks have been subordinate to the Mission Support Command since 2006 . Basic military servants were never stationed in Brunn, only assigned to duty from other barracks.

The supply of clothing for the entire armed forces takes place via the HBA. New developments of materials or entire items of clothing are also carried out in the workshops that also train apprentices . Laboratories for weather, fire and moisture are set up for quality tests. Exams are not only carried out for the armed forces themselves, but also for other organizations such as the police. In 2009 there are almost 120 employees.

The predecessor of the HBA goes back to the time of the Imperial and Royal Landwehr of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. The barracks was built in 1913 as a kuk clothing depot. The barracks have been under the control of the armed forces since 1957. In 1914 the 4th Infantry Division and the Infantry Brigade were stationed here.

During the Second World War, the barracks were also under the Wehrmacht .

In the years after 2000, the area directly on the southern runway was greatly reduced in size. On one part, apartments were created for military personnel, on another a security center with fire brigade and Red Cross station for the municipality of Brunn was built.

In addition to the armed forces, the HBA is also responsible for the various uniforms of the finance , interior and transport ministries . She also works closely with the HTBLuVA Vienna 5 Spengergasse .
