Architecture and history

The five-and-a-half-storey house was built in 1882 for master carpenter Seeling according to plans by master mason Kohtz . The building, designed as a semi-detached house , cites the shapes of Italian palazzi. The facade of the plastered brick building is decorated with ribbon rustics on the two lower floors. The window openings on the upper floors are decorated with architraves and triangular gables. The upper end of the facade is formed by a protruding console cornice. The house is covered by a flat roof .

The semi-detached house originally had a double entrance in the middle, which was later converted into a large common courtyard passage.

Due to its location in the ensemble of surrounding buildings, the building is considered to be architecturally important.

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a historical building under registration number 094 16674 .
