Heiderscheid ( lux. Heischent ) is a village in the Luxembourg municipality of Esch-Sauer . Until the end of 2011, Heiderscheid was the capital of the municipality of the same name, which belonged to the canton of Wiltz . The municipality of Heiderscheid was merged with the municipalities of Neunhausen and Esch-Sauer on January 1, 2012 to form a new municipality, which was given the name Esch-Sauer.
