Church building

The church building designed by the architect Siegfried Laessig was inaugurated in 1976. A foyer leads to the asymmetrically designed church hall. The ceiling of the interior is of different heights, the relief-like floor divides the room into different areas. The altar, pulpit and baptismal font are made of brass by Helmut Rogge; he also made a sculpture above the altar in the form of spikes that are supposed to remind of the mantle of God who filled the temple ( Isaiah 6: 1-3  EU ). As a counterpart, there is a seven-fold relief made of tombak above the church entrance , which is supposed to remind of the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit.
