The Holy Matrona of Moscow ( Russian Храм в честь блаженной Матроны Московской ) is a Russian Orthodox church in the Russian city of Belgorod . She is St. Dedicated Matrona of Moscow .

The church building with a plan of a Greek cross is kept in the Russian classicism style. The big blue dome is striking. The church, built from 2003 to 2004, belongs to the Belgorod and Stary Oskol eparchy . Saint Matron of Moscow stands on the premises of the Belgorod Oblast Regional Hospital at 8/9 Nekrasova Street.

history

On August 27, 2003 the symbolic foundation stone for the construction of the church on the site of the Belgorod Regional Hospital was inaugurated. Construction of the church was completed in 2004. The church was opened on May 2, 2004 by Archbishop Johannes von Belgorod and Stary Oskol St. Matrona of Moscow consecrated . The architect of the church was B. Yes. Busygin. On September 23, 2008, the church received a shrine in which some of the relics of St. Matrona of Moscow was located. The remains of St. Matrona of Moscow rest in the Monastery of the Pokrov Nuns in Moscow .
