Home and hiking academy Baden-Württemberg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Baden-Württemberg Home and Hiking Academy is a joint project of the Swabian Alb Association and the Black Forest Association and is financially supported by the state of Baden-Württemberg .

history

It was founded on March 7, 2001 in Stuttgart. The two largest German hiking associations wanted to bring the training and further education of new hiking guides into a uniform form.

goals and tasks

The main task is the planning and implementation of the hiking guide training (DWV hiking guide® / nature and landscape guide). Anyone is allowed to participate in the training.

Another focus is topic-related training.

DWV hiking guides organize around 50 excursions in Baden-Württemberg every year in coordination with the home and hiking academy.

In 2008 the training was redesigned and expanded to include the qualification of certified nature and landscape guide or certified nature and landscape guide. This nationally recognized qualification was made possible by the recognition of the training concepts by the nationwide working group of state-sponsored educational institutions in nature and environmental protection .
