Glance into the black kitchen.

Heimathaus Schöneiche is located in Kleinschönebeck in Dorfaue 8. It is the last remaining house of its kind in the entire village. It is a so-called double room in a half-timbered construction . It was built around the middle of the 18th century. Between 1981 and 1984 it was reconstructed and restored by and on the initiative of the Schöneicher Heimatfreunde association. The house has a central corridor (" Mittelern ") that crosses the entire building, in the middle there is a hearth with an open fireplace, the so-called black kitchen . It is one of the few kitchens of this type still preserved today. Today there is a permanent exhibition in the house, showing the living and living conditions of a full farmer and his family around 1750 in the eastern part of the Mark Brandenburg . Old crops are grown in the garden of the house. The building is part of the Dorfaue monument protection area , the historic center of the Klein-Schönbeck district, but is also on the Brandenburg State Monument List as an individual object.
