Bezau local history museum

The Bezau local history museum is a former Bregenzerwald farm from the 18th century. It is located in the Ellenbogen 181 part of the Bezau municipality in the Bregenz district of Vorarlberg . The house is a listed building.

Architecture and equipment

The typical farm of the rear Bregenzerwald from the 18th century is a two-story wood-shingle block building with two floors and a gable floor . Through the eaves located Schopf leads into the kitchen with an open fireplace and Senn opportunity . Next to it is the living room with a clay oven . To the west of the parlor is the "Gado", the parents' bedroom.

In addition to the originally furnished rooms, the museum houses a collection of folkloric and sacred objects. There is also a gallery of important Bregenz Forests.
