Fürstenberger Hof

The Fürstenberger Hof local history museum in Unterharmersbach , a district of Zell am Harmersbach in the Ortenau district , is a thatched Black Forest house . It was built in 1660 by a farmer from the Principality of Fürstenberg , until 1971 the farm was inhabited and managed by the so-called Fürstenbergers , the Armbruster family.

Then the then independent community of Unterharmersbach bought it and set up a Black Forest Farming Museum in it, which now attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world every year.

A special feature of the Fürstenberger Hof is the Alemannic ribbon of windows in the southwest corner with 112 small window panes.

Since 1998, an extensive Christmas crib exhibition has been presented in the Fürstenberger Hof every two years.
