The Nebra local history museum with the Hedwig Courths Mahler archive is a local history museum in the city of Nebra in Saxony-Anhalt . The museum is located on the market on Breite Straße in Nebra. It is located in the former Fulsche house of the shoemaker Fulsche. He gave the house and workshop to the city of Nebra at the end of the 1990s.

This supported the renovation and establishment of a museum.

The inventory includes, on the one hand, exhibitions on old crafts in Nebra. These include stonemasons, rope makers, boat builders, coopers, seamstresses, cigar presses, shoemakers, blacksmiths, basket makers and potters. It also exhibits everyday items, including an old kitchen, a white linen room and a toy room. The exhibits date from the 19th and early 20th centuries.

The Hedwig Courths Painter Archive was only created after the fall of the Wall. The writer Hedwig Courths-Mahler was born in Nebra. Her books were not available in the GDR because they were ostracized as trivial literature and were neither published nor imported. It was only after the fall of the Wall, on June 29, 1991, that a Hedwig Courths Painter Circle of Friends was founded in Nebra. This circle of friends carries out public relations work for Courths-Painter and also set up the Courths-Painter archive in the local museum. Almost all of Courths-Mahler's books and some letters as well as a showcase with exhibits from her time (late 19th / early 20th century) can be found in two rooms in the Hedwig Courths painter archive. The collection also includes a Courths-Mahler handbag .
