Heinrich Albertz Peace Prize

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

With the award of the Heinrich Albertz Peace Prize , the Federal Association of Workers' Welfare (AWO) has been honoring a public figure for their commitment to social peace since 1999 . The AWO combines this with an invitation to society and the groups that support it to always be aware of the importance of tolerance towards those who think differently and other cultures and of supporting the weak for peaceful coexistence among people. The peace prize is awarded at irregular intervals. The person who is intended for the award ceremony is selected by the executive committee of the federal association. The prize is endowed with 5,000 euros.
