Heinrich Augustin

Heinrich Augustin (born October 30, 1937 in Ottensen ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

After graduating from high school in Buxtehude, Augustin studied law, political science and agriculture in Göttingen and Hamburg . After graduating in 1964, he took over the farm and worked as a practical farmer. In 1969 he successfully completed the master craftsman examination.

Augustin has been a member of the CDU since 1967. He became district chairman of the Junge Union and later deputy district chairman of the CDU as well as a member of the district and district executive boards. Augustin had been a councilor of the Ottensen community since 1964 . And from 1972 to 1986 councilor of Buxtehude and from 1976 to 1986 2nd deputy mayor of the city of Buxtehude. Since 1976 he has been a member of the district council of the Stade district, chairman of the finance committee and since 1983 chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. In the 11th and 12th electoral periods from June 21, 1986 to June 20, 1994 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .
