Stora Bjurum herrgård

The Swedish manor house Stora Bjurum is located about 11 kilometers north of the city of Falköping .

Stora Bjurum, which can be traced back to the Middle Ages , is now one of the largest estates in Skaraborg. The medieval manor was replaced by a stone building in the middle of the 18th century , which was rebuilt in the historicist style in 1870 according to plans by the architect Helgo Zettervall .

One kilometer from the manor on the south bank of Hornborgasjön is the 18th century church that originally belonged to the manor . Next to the church is the Trandansen bird station , where thousands of cranes can be observed every April.
