Heinrich Helmers
Heinrich Helmers (born December 1, 1847 in Bremen , † April 3, 1908 in Bremen) was a German writer.
biography
Helmers was the son of a music teacher. He attended secondary school in the old town. Then he learned the trade of a businessman. From 1870 to 1885 he ran the art shop founded by his father. In his youth he began his literary work and wrote poems, comedies and stories. He first published his significant, folkloric Bremen sketches in the Bremer Nachrichten . They were then grouped into two collections.
