Heinrich Malchow

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Heinrich Malchow was mayor of Wismar until around 1525.

He lost his post due to an uprising, which was directed mainly against himself and against the then close connection between politics and faith. After he was released from his office, he spoke to the federal government in 1525 together with Nikolaus Smiterlow , the mayor of Stralsund , who had also been chased from his office. The jurisdiction denied their complaints and did not reinstate them.

As a result of the teachings of Martin Luther , there were riots and riots in many cities and communities at that time.
