Heinrich Wolf (politician, 1857)

Heinrich Wolf (born October 31, 1857 in Dietharz ; † October 20, 1941 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Wolf was initially a shepherd and later a porcelain maker. Until 1891 he worked as a porcelain moulder, most recently as a head moulder in a porcelain factory in Dietharz. In 1891 he was sentenced to 6 months in prison for lese majesty . From 1891 he was a material goods dealer in Dietharz.

From 1889 he was a leading party functionary of the SPD in Dietharz. In the state elections in 1896 he was elected for the first time in the Gotha state parliament. In 1900, 1904, 1908 and 1812 he was able to defend his mandate and was a member of the state parliament until the November Revolution of 1918.

In 1917 he moved to the USPD . For this he was elected to the state assembly of the Free State of Saxony-Gotha in 1919 . He became president of the national assembly. After the formation of the state of Thuringia, he was a member of the Gotha regional agency from 1921 to 1923. In 1922 he returned to the SPD.
