Heinrich von Wülzburg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Heinrich von Wülzburg was a Benedictine monk in the 11th century.

Heinrich was mentioned in the vita of Otto von Bamberg von Ebo . He possibly came from the Wülzburg monastery near Weißenburg and was mentioned as a companion of Otto during his first stay in Poland from 1082. Further information about his person has not come down to us.

In Polish historiography he is sometimes assumed to be the Archbishop of Gniezno . It was not mentioned as such in the historical chronicles (Ebo, Gesta Principum Polonorum , Jan Długosz ).
