Heinz-Ewald Hirsch
Heinz-Ewald Hirsch (* 1928 ; † June 2005 ) was a German basketball official .
career
Hirsch was a board member at MTV 1846 Gießen from the beginning of the 1960s , between 1966 and the mid-1980s he was manager of the Bundesliga basketball team, then he was team supervisor until shortly before his death in June 2005. During his tenure as manager, he won the German championship titles in 1967, 1968, 1975 and 1978 as well as winning the DBB Cup in 1969, 1973 and 1979. Hirsch carried out his work at the traditional Bundesliga club on a voluntary basis, he was full-time employed as a businessman and entrepreneur in the fuel trade. Hirsch was an honorary member of MTV 1846 Gießen.
