Heinz-Jörg Eckhold (born September 25, 1941 in Oberhausen ) is a German CDU politician .

education and profession

After attending primary school, Heinz-Jörg Eckhold graduated in 1956. From 1956 to 1961 he trained as a machine fitter. On the second path of education he acquired the university entrance qualification with the Abitur in 1966. He served his military service from 1965 to 1967. He's major in the reserve. From 1967 to 1971 he studied German, history and the Catholic religion as a teacher. In 1970 he passed the 1st state examination. The 2nd state examination in 1971 and 1977 he obtained a doctorate in pedagogy. From 1971 to 1978 he was a teacher in the school service, where he completed a postgraduate course. Since 1978 he has worked in the diocese of Essen . From 1994 to 2000 he was director of the "Institute for Social Education" in the diocese of Essen. He has been the deputy head of the department for social and universal church tasks in the diocese of Essen since 2001.

politics

Eckhold has been a member of the CDU since 1959. From 1970 to 1974 he was deputy chairman of the Junge Union Oberhausen and city district chairman. From 1974 to 1977 and from 1990 to 1995 he was the district chairman of the CDU Oberhausen. From 1986 to 2000 he was a member of the district board of the CDU Ruhrgebiet. He was a member of the Oberhausen City Council from 1974 to 1978 and from 1984. Further stations in his political career were chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the council from 1992 to 2000, and from 2001 deputy chairman. He was a member of the CDU parliamentary group at the Ruhr Area Municipal Association from 1994 to 1995.

In 1995, Heinz-Jörg Eckhold entered the 12th and 13th North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament via the state list , of which he remained a member until 2005.
