Heinz Bachmann

Heinz Bachmann (* 1924 ) is a Swiss mathematician .

Bachmann was in 1950 at the University of Zurich with the work The normal functions and the problem of the excellent effects of atomic numbers in mathematics doctorate . He wrote a monograph on transfinite numbers .

Independently of William Alvin Howard , he introduced the Bachmann-Howard ordinal numbers in his dissertation .
