Heinz Berghaus (born March 10, 1899 , † after 1952) was a German singer and actor on the stage and film.

Live and act

After completing his training in singing and acting, Berghaus began to play theater at the beginning of the Weimar Republic and was mostly used in the subject of opera at the following venues. Only rarely did he get a permanent engagement like at the end of the decade in Mannheim or, after the end of his film career in 1940, during the Second World War at secondary theaters such as the United State Theaters in Gotha Eisenach (1942/43) and the municipal theaters in German-occupied Lodz (then Litzmannstadt , 1943/44). After the war, at the end of the 1940s, Berghaus can only be found at the Jena City Theater (again in the subject of opera / operetta). After 1952 it is no longer listed in the German Stage Yearbook.

Berghaus' second professional pillar was the early sound film. Between 1931 and 1940 there was a wealth of entertainment productions, including a number of short films and comedies, as well as dramatic material. He played roles throughout, such as a detective in Robert Siodmak's preliminary investigation , a hotel porter in Burning Secret by the same director, the transport minister in Reinhold Schünzel's last Reich German production Land der Liebe , a suitor in the musical play Capriccio with Lilian Harvey and a bar host in the crime thriller “ Falschmünzer ". Berghaus was also shown his singing talent several times in these films.
