Heinz Dieter Heidemann
Heinz Dieter Heidemann (* 1946 ) is a Brazilian human and economic geographer.
Heidemann received his doctorate in 1980 under Günter Mertins at the University of Marburg . Since 1989 he has been a professor at the University of São Paulo . From 2002 to 2006, Heidemann was Vice Director of the Institute for Brazilian Studies ( Instituto de Estudos Brasileiros ) at the same university. He is best known for his work on João Guimarães Rosa .
