Heinz Gach

Heinz Gach (born March 7, 1947 in Mariahof ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). Gach has been a member of the Styrian state parliament since 2005 and state hunter master from 1993 to 2016 .

education and profession

Gach attended elementary and secondary school in Zeltweg from 1953 to 1961 and then learned the trade of machine fitter at ÖAMG Zeltweg from 1961 to 1965. At the same time he attended the vocational school for metal trades in Zeltweg. After completing his apprenticeship, Gach graduated from HTL Kapfenberg from 1965 to 1970 with excellent success and then from 1970 to 1975 worked as a mechanical engineer at ÖAMG / VOEST ALPINE. As a part-time job, he studied mining machinery at the Montan University Leoben between 1971 and 1976 and graduated with the academic degree Dipl.-Ing. from.

Gach worked from 1976 to 1978 as an operations assistant for the central operations at VOEST ALPINE Zeltweg and was its operations manager from 1978 to 1985. Between 1985 and 1989 he was production manager, with 600 employees reporting to him. In 1989 Gach was initially sales manager at VOEST ALPINE Bergtechnik / Zeltweg (VAB) and also became managing director of VOEST ALPINE Tunneltechnik / Düsseldorf (VATT), after which he also took over the technical division of VAB in 1990. From 1993 he was spokesman for the management of VOEST ALPINE Geisert / Essen (VAG) and handled the purchase and integration of VAG into VATT alongside his other activities. Gach rose to the board of VAB in 1994.

Gach acted as spokesman for the board of TAMROCK VOEST ALPINE Bergtechnik in Zeltweg between 1997 and 1999 and was spokesman for the management of Leitinger Verwaltungs- und Beteiligungs-Ges.mbh in Wernersdorf between 2000 and 2005. From 2003 to 2005 he was also chairman of the board of the Leitinger private foundation in Wernersdorf. Since 2003 Gach has been the managing director of holz.bau.forschungs ges.mbh in Graz and chairman of the supervisory board of Holzbeschaffungs- und Logistik- Ges.mbH in Leoben. In 2004 he became chairman of proHolz Steiermark and deputy chairman of proHolz Austria and since 2005 he has also been chairman of the supervisory board in the Styrian wood cluster.

politics

Gach has been a member of the board of the Judenburg branch of the Styrian Hunting Protection Association since 1975 and was elected chairman of the branch in 1986. Between 1987 and 1990 he was a member of the state board and between 1990 and 1993 he took on the role of 1st Vice President of the Styrian Hunting Protection Association. After his election as Deputy Regional Hunting on 1 June 1993 Gach was on September 7, 1993 Landesjägermeister selected. He has represented the ÖVP in the state parliament since 2005 and has the role of area spokesman for industry and folk culture in the ÖVP state parliament club. On June 9, 1999, Gach was re-elected as state hunter master. On December 31, 2016, Heinz Gach resigned from his position as state hunter master.

Gach is married and has three children.
