Heinz Hiebler

Heinz Hiebler (* 1967 ) is a German literary scholar .

Life

From 1985 to 1991 he studied German , art history and philosophy in Graz . From 1994 to 2001 he was a research associate in the FWF project literature and media at the Institute for German Studies with Hans H. Hiebel . From 1996 to 2007 he was a lecturer at the Institute for German Studies at the University of Graz . After completing his doctorate in philosophy in 2001 (Modern German Literature and Media Studies), he was a lecturer at the Institute for German Studies II: Modern German Literature and Media Culture at the University of Hamburg from 2003 to 2005 . From 2005 to 2007 he was a research assistant at the University of Lüneburg (Department III: Applied Cultural Studies - Language and Communication: Literary Culture - Media Culture). From 2005 to 2009 he developed distance learning material for the cultural and social sciences department at the FernUniversität Hagen . Since 2007 he has headed the media center at the departments for language, literature and media I + II at the University of Hamburg. In 2010/2011 he completed his habilitation at the University of Hamburg (literature and media studies).

His focus is on the scientific and organizational management of the SLM media center, media technology history / media culture history, media culture theory, media aesthetics - media semiotics, media and reality, literary studies as media culture studies, media change - intermediality and knowledge in the digital age.
