Heinz Krendl

Heinz Krendl (born May 5, 1939 in Enzersdorf an der Fischa ; † September 17, 2008 in Mödling ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and electrical engineer. From 1976 to 1996 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Krendl was involved in his youth as the SJ country chairman and subsequently took on the role of deputy federal chairman. He also worked as a district party secretary until 1976 and then rose to become the SPÖ district party chairman. From 1970 Krendl was active as a councilor in Margarethen am Moos, after the amalgamation of the municipalities in 1975 he became a councilor in Enzersdorf an der Fischa. In 1980 he was promoted to vice mayor of the newly founded municipality, and between 1989 and 2000 he held the office of mayor. Krendl was also the chairman of Kinderfreunde between 1986 and 1992 and represented the SPÖ Lower Austria between January 22, 1976 and January 25, 1996 in the Lower Austrian state parliament.
