Heinz Lorenz (born August 7, 1913 in Schwerin ; † November 23, 1985 on the way from Bonn to Düsseldorf) was a German stenographer , chief clerk at the German News Office (DNB) and as Adolf Hitler's press secretary at the Führer headquarters . He was one of the closest employees of the Reich Press Chief of the NSDAP , Otto Dietrich, and was responsible for the foreign policy reports . After Dietrich's dismissal, he succeeded him in March 1945 as head of press. He was one of the three messengers with Hitler's wills. He was supposed to deliver the Political Testament of Adolf Hitler to Karl Dönitz . The pick-up from the encircled Berlin by seaplane failed and only in November 1945 was the will sewn into the lining of his jacket found during an roll call at the Eselsheide internment camp.

From 1947 to 1953 Lorenz was private secretary in the Hugo Stinnes house in Mühlheim, from 1953 to 1958 parliamentary stenographer in the German Bundestag , from 1958 to 1978 head of the stenographic service of the Bundesrat .
