Heinz Michallik (born July 21, 1947 in Hamm ) is a former German soccer player . He was used both in defense and in midfield .

Career

Michallik played from 1968 in the senior division for the DJK Gütersloh , with which he celebrated two championships and was promoted to the regional league via the association league. Michallik's good performances did not go unnoticed by Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach . For the 1971/72 season Michallik moved to Borussia and played a total of 39 league games in three seasons. The defensive player, who was strong in combat, did not want to score a goal. In 1973 Michallik and his team won the DFB Cup . In the same year Borussia Mönchengladbach lost to Liverpool FC in the two final games of the UEFA Cup . Michallik played over 90 minutes in the first leg at Liverpool's Anfield stadium . He was not used in the second leg.

In 1974 Michallik moved to FC Augsburg in the 2nd Bundesliga South. There he completed 113 league games in four seasons, mostly as a midfielder, in which he was able to score a goal. In Augsburg Michallik played together with the former national player Helmut Haller .

After his time in Augsburg, Michallik ended his professional career and joined the amateur club TSV Neusäß in 1978, from which he finally stopped in 1984.

Private

In 2004 Michallik co-founded the “Urmel Children's Cancer Aid”, for which he is still successfully involved today. The "Urmel Children's Cancer Aid" has already been able to offer support to many families in which a child with leukemia lives.

Michallik is also the representative of the “Wir für Vereine” association, which aims to give clubs and players in Germany financial and personal security.

Michallik was the owner of the “Försterkeller” disco, which was the oldest disco in Bavaria until it was closed. He also ran a vending machine and a sports shop.
