Andreas Heimann (born January 10, 1992 in Rheinfelden (Baden) ) is a German chess player .
Life
In 2011 he graduated from the Lise-Meitner-Gymnasium in Grenzach-Wyhlen .
In 2004 he became German U12 champion in Willingen (Upland) and German U14 runner-up in 2006 at the same location. Two months later he was U14 EU champion in Mureck, Austria . In 2008 he was German runner-up in the U16 individual championship in Willingen. At the 2008 Chess Olympiad in Dresden , he took part with the 3rd German team on the reserve board. In June 2009 Heimann was Badischer Meister in Badenweiler with seven out of nine possible points and won the German U18 Internet Championship. He was able to defend the title of Badischer Meister in 2010 in Haslach im Kinzigtal with 7.5 points from 9 games. With the German national team he won the Mitropa Cup in Merlimont in 2011 , playing on board three, and in 2014 he finished second. In 2015 he reached third place with the team and won the individual ranking on board 3. In November 2016 Heimann won the German championship in blitz chess in Völklingen , and in 2017 he successfully defended the title in Augsburg .
With the Dreiländereck Weil chess club , the Grenzach-Wyhlener played in the Baden Süd association league. From the 2010/11 season to the 2016/17 season he played for OSG Baden-Baden . He played mainly with the second team in the 2nd Bundesliga South , but was also used in the 2011/12 season in the first team that became German team champions. Since the 2017/18 season he has been playing with the SF Deizisau in the 1st Bundesliga. In the Swiss team championship he played for the chess friends Reichenstein , with whom he also took part in the European Club Cups in 2007, 2008, 2011 and 2013. He has been playing for SG Riehen since 2014 , with which he also took part in the 2015 European Club Cup. In the 2009 season he had the best result of all top division players in Switzerland with 8 points from 9 games. In the Swiss league , he played from 2006 to 2012 for Basel BVB and from the 2014/15 season to 2016/17 for the SC Lyss Zealand , with whom he in 2017 was Swiss group champion since 2017, he plays for the SC Bodan . In France, he plays for Club de Mulhouse Philidor , initially with the second team in the N1, and since 2016 with the first team in the top 12.
He has held the title of International Master since March 2009 . He achieved the standards for this at the 10th Neckar Open 2006 in Deizisau, at the 12th Neckar Open 2008 (with overachievement at 6.5 points from 9 games) and at the 24th European Club Cup 2008 in Kallithea (Chalkidiki) , where he for example won against Igor Rausis . In September 2016 Heimann was appointed grandmaster , he fulfilled the required standards in October 2013 at the European Club Cup in Rhodes , in August 2015 at the GM tournament of the VMCG chess festival in Lüneburg , in April 2016 at the Grenke Open in Karlsruhe and in the Season 2015/16 of the 2nd Bundesliga South.
