Federal Chess League 2011/12
The 2011/12 season was the 32nd season of the German Federal Chess League . Champion became defending champion OSG Baden-Baden . König Tegel (group north), USV TU Dresden (group east), SV 1930 Hockenheim (group south) and SC Hansa Dortmund (group west) were newly promoted from the 2nd Bundesliga . As the only newcomer, SV 1930 Hockenheim was able to stay in the league, in addition to König Tegel, Hansa Dortmund and the USV TU Dresden, SC Remagen had to relegate. The win of Markus Ragger (Solingen) against Héðinn Steingrímsson (Dortmund) was voted the best game of the season .

The double rounds were on 14-16. October 2011 (central round in Mülheim), 19./20. November 2011, 10./11. December 2011, 4th / 5th February 2012, 25./26. February 2012, 17./18. March 2012 and 14./15. April 2012.
time to think
Since the 2009/10 season, every player has 100 minutes to think about for the first 40 moves, 50 minutes for the next 20 moves and 15 minutes until the end of the game. From the first move on, each player receives a time credit of 30 seconds per move until the end of the game. Draw offers before move 20 are prohibited. Exceptions are draws through three repetitions of positions.
