Federal Chess League 1998/99

The 1998/99 season was the 19th season of the German Chess League . Champion became the defending champion SG Porz , who won all 15 games of the season. Delmenhorster SK , SV Wattenscheid , USC Magdeburg and SC Viernheim were newly promoted . Viernheim was relegated again, and the SK Zähringen in 1921 and the Erfurter SK were also hit . The SG Bochum 31 withdrew voluntarily after the season, so that the SK Passau could remain 13th in the league.
