German Chess League 1986/87

The 1986/87 season was the seventh season of the German Chess League . The Solingen SG 1868 became champion for the second time after 1981 . The Hamburg SG BUE , SV Fortuna Regensburg , the Karlsruher SF 1853 and the SG Enger / Spenge were newly promoted . However, all four teams had to be relegated again, with SK Heidelberg defeating Hamburger SG 4½: 3½ in the playoff for relegation.
