German Chess League 1991/92

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 1991/92 season was the twelfth season of the German Chess League . The chess department of FC Bayern Munich became champions . It was already the seventh championship title for the club and the fourth in a row. In order to integrate the clubs from the GDR , five clubs rose this season after five were relegated in the 90/91 season. The climbers were the SG Bochum 31 and the Hannoversche SK from the old federal states and the SV Erfurt West , the SV Empor Berlin and the VdS Buna Halle from the new federal states. Hanover was relegated again without having scored a point. In addition, Halle and SC 1868 Bamberg had to go into the second class, the FTG Frankfurt withdrew voluntarily after the season. The Hannoversche SK set a negative record with 15 defeats in 15 games this season.
