Federal Chess League 1987/88

The 1987/88 season was the eighth season of the German Chess League . The defending champion Solingen SG 1868 secured the championship title . The TB Erlangen , the SK Zehlendorf , the SK Zähringen 1921 and the SV Wattenscheid were newly promoted in the preseason . All four clubs could not assert themselves in the top class and were relegated again.
