German Chess League 2004/05
The 2004/05 season was the 25th season of the German Chess League . Werder Bremen won the championship for the first time and won 4½: 3½ in the playoff for the title against SG Porz . The SV Mülheim-Nord , the Schachclub Eppingen , the Erfurter SK and the Preetzer TSV were newly promoted . Mülheim and Eppingen were able to keep the class, in addition to Preetz and Erfurt, the Stuttgart Chess Friends in 1879 and SV 1920 Hofheim were relegated .
