Federal Chess League 2002/03

The 2002/03 season was the 23rd season of the German Chess League . For the third time in a row, Lübecker SV 1873 became champions . The SC Kreuzberg , the SC Baden-Oos , the SK Turm Emsdetten and the Forchheim chess club were newly promoted . While Baden-Oos and Kreuzberg were able to keep the class, Forchheim was relegated from bottom of the table. Emsdetten withdrew voluntarily after the season, which allowed SK König Plauen to remain in the league. The other relegated teams were the Erfurter SK and the Godesberger SK .
