The TV Tegernsee (Turnverein Tegernsee eV) is a sports club based in Tegernsee in Bavaria . His most successful branch is the chess division (90 members).

The chess division had three teams up to 2009, the first team being represented in the Bundesliga chess league from 1999 to 2009 and one of the top teams in Germany. In 2009, thirteen grandmasters were active in TV Tegernsee .

Since 2009, the club has withdrawn from the Bundesliga and is now focusing on youth work. Two professional chess trainers teach the students one full hour per week. The financing is supported by the municipalities.
