Friso Nijboer (born May 26, 1965 in Nijmegen ) is a Dutch chess player .

Life

His successes include winning tournaments in 1995 in Wijk an Zee, 1999 in Den Bosch, 2002 in Vlissingen, 2003 in Groningen and Dieren and 2004 in Amsterdam.

In February 2015 he was in 12th place in the Dutch ranking. He had his best world ranking and his best Elo number in October 2006 when he finished 67th with an Elo number of 2641.

Nijboer was named International Master in 1988 and Grand Master in 1993.

National team

Nijboer took part with the Dutch national team from 1996 to 2006 in all six chess Olympiads as well as in the European team championships in 1992, 1997, 2001 and 2003. He won in León in 2001 both with the team and in the individual standings of the reserve players.

In the Dutch Meester class , Nijboer played for the Hilversums Schaakgenootschap until 2011 , with which he was Dutch team champion in 2008 , 2009 , 2010 and 2011 and took part in the European Club Cup in 1993 , since 2012 he has played for En Passant Bunschoten-Spakenburg , with whom he, in 2013 , 2014 and 2016 champion and took part in the European Club Cup three times. In the German federal chess league Nijboer played in the 1996/97 season for SG Bochum 31 and from 1997 to 2004 for SG Porz , with which he was German team champion in 1998 , 1999 , 2000 and 2004 . In the 2006/07 season he played for the Plettenberg Chess Association in the 2nd Bundesliga West , from 2010 to 2015 he played in the 2nd league for Bochumer SV . Since 2015 he has been playing for DJK Aufwärts St. Josef Aachen . In France he played for Echiquier Nancien until 2006 , then he played for Vandœuvre-Echecs until 2009 . Nijboer won the Belgian Interclubs in 2004 and 2006 with KSK 47 Eynatten , with which he also took part in the European Club Cup in 2006, and in 2009 with Schachfreunde Wirtzfeld , he also played in Belgium for La Tour d'Ans-Loncin . In Luxembourg he plays for Le Cavalier Differdange , with whom he was team champion in 2008 , in the Spanish team championship he played in 2004 for CA Reverté Albox and in 2008 for CE Foment Martinenc Barcelona .
