Daniël Stellwagen (born March 1, 1987 in Soest ) is a Dutch chess master .

Single successes

Daniël Stellwagen won or occupied top places in several tournaments: 2. – 3. Place at the Dutch championship in Leeuwarden (2005), 1st – 2nd Place at the Dutch championship in Hilversum (2007) and 2nd place at the Sigeman & Co. tournament in Malmö (2008). He has held the title of Grand Master since 2004, and achieved the required standards in January 2003 at the Corus tournament in Wijk aan Zee , in June and July 2003 at the Essent Dutch Championship in Leeuwarden and in August 2004 at the Hogeschool Zeeland Open in Vlissingen. Stellwagen last played in December 2013 in two competitions of the Bundesliga 2013/14 Elo rated games and is therefore listed as inactive by FIDE .

Team chess

National team

With the Dutch national team he took part in the Chess Olympiads in 2008 , 2010 and 2012 . In 2007, 2009 and 2011 Stellwagen was part of the Dutch selection at the European Team Championships .

Club chess

Stellwagen played in the German Federal Chess League from 2002 to 2014 for the Solingen chess company . Stellwagen made his debut in the Dutch Meester class for Utrecht in the 1999/2000 season , then played for Hilversums SG from 2000 to 2012 , with whom he became Dutch team champions in 2008 , 2009 , 2010 and 2011 . In the French team championship he played in the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons for the Club de Montpellier Echecs , in the Belgian Interclubs from 2004 to 2006 for the SC Jean Jaurès .
