Peng Zhaoqin (Chin. 彭肇勤, Péng Zhàoqín, born May 8, 1968 in Guangzhou ) is a Chinese - Dutch chess player.
Life
Peng Zhaoqin learned to play chess at the age of 12. In 1996 she moved to the Netherlands and has been the strongest chess player there ever since. She won the Dutch women's individual championship 14 times, most recently in 2018. Her first victory came in 1997; from 2000 to 2011 Peng won twelve times in a row.
She took in 2000 and 2001 to the knock-out world chess championships of FIDE part. In the first year she failed in the quarter-finals against the Russian Ekaterina Kovalevskaya , the following year, also in the last eight, against the Georgian and world champion from 1978 to 1991 Maia Tschiburdanidze .
Peng Zhaoqin was named International Master of Women (WIM) in 1989, Grand Master of Women (WGM) in 1992 , International Master (IM) in 1995 and in 2004 - the eleventh woman ever - Grand Master (GM). She won the GM title at the European Women's Championship in Dresden when, like European Champion Alexandra Kostenjuk, she scored 9.5 points from 12 games with an Elo performance of 2626.
Since joining the Dutch Chess Federation, she has topped the Dutch women's Elo ranking.
National team
Peng Zhaoqin took part in all four women's chess Olympiads with China from 1988 to 1994 , and in all nine women's chess Olympiads with the Netherlands from 1998 to 2014 . With the Chinese team she reached third place in 1990 , 1992 and 1994, in the individual ranking she won on the third board in 1988 and took third place on the first board in 1998. With the Dutch women's team, she also took part in all eight European team championships from 2001 to 2015. She achieved the third best result on the first board in 2001, in 2007 she achieved both the best result on the top board and the best Elo performance of all participants. In 1989 she took part in the Asian team championship, to which the Chinese association was the only one to nominate a women's team.

In the Dutch Meester class , Peng Zhaoqin played for Rotterdam from 1999 to 2010, and has played for En Passant Bunschoten-Spakenburg since 2012, with whom she won the Dutch team championship in 2013 , 2014 and 2016 and took part in the European Club Cup in 2014 and 2015 . In the German 1st Bundesliga she played for SK Turm Emsdetten in the 2002/03 and 2008/09 seasons , in the women's Bundesliga from 1996 to 1999 for the Elberfelder Schachgesellschaft 1851 , with which she won the championship in 1997 , 1998 and 1999 and three times participated in the women's European Club Cup, from 2000 to 2004 for the SK Turm Emsdetten, the 2001 champion . In the French women's team championship, she played from 2002 to 2004 for Cannes Echecs, with whom she won the title in 2004 and took part in the women's European Club Cup in 2003, for L'Echiquier Naujacais in the 2009/10 season. In the Belgian Interclubs she played for the second team of Vliegend Peerd Bredene in the 2008/09 season, in the Chinese team championship in 2005 for Shenzhen Shirble, in 2009 for Qingdao School and in 2014 for Hebei.
Private
Peng Zhaoqin lives in Hoofddorp with a Dutch man. She has a son.
