Tournament course

The quarter-finals saw clear victories for the title candidates from Clichy, Cannes and Évry, while the competition between Marseille and Mulhouse ended narrowly. In the case of draws on boards 1 and 4, victory on the second board tipped the balance in favor of Mulhouse. In the semifinals, Clichy and Cannes were able to prevail despite defeats on the top board, as was Marseille in the placement game. In the final, Cannes retaliated for the previous year's defeat against Clichy.
