Ni Hua (Chinese 倪華 / 倪华, Ní Huá, born  May 31, 1983 in Shanghai ) is a Chinese chess player .

Life

He started playing chess at the age of six and fulfilled the grandmaster norm in February 2000, April 2001 and July 2002 . This made him the 14th Chinese chess grandmaster at the age of 19. In 2006, 2007 and 2008, he won the Chinese national championships. In January 2009 he won with 7.5 points from 9 games at the 51st edition of the tournament in Reggio Emilia ( category 14).

In April 2009, he finished 21st, his best placement on the world rankings. Currently (November 2014) he is the seventh best Chinese player.

National team

Ni Hua took part in the 2000 , 2002 , 2006 , 2008 and 2014 Chess Olympiads with the Chinese national team. With the team he reached second place in 2006 and won in 2014. In the individual ranking, he reached third place on the fourth board in 2014. He also took part in the 2005 World Team Championship, where he finished second with the team, participated in the 1999 Asian Team Championship with China's third team, and represented China in the 2010 Asian Games (which China won) and the chess competitions the Asian Indoor Games in 2007 and 2009, both of which he won with China.

Ni Hua has been playing in the Chinese team championship since 2005 for the team from Shanghai Jianqiao University , with which he was Chinese team champion in 2008 , 2009 , 2012 , 2016 , 2017 , 2018 and 2019 . In the Russian team championship he played in the 2008 to 2011 events for the team Ekonomist-1 Saratov , with which he also took part in the European Club Cup in the same years and won it in 2009 and 2010. In Spain in 2008 Ni Hua played for CA Mérida Patrimonio-Ajoblanco .
