Chinese Team Chess Championship 2008
The 2008 Chinese Team Chess Championship (official name: 2008 Torch Real Estate Chinese Chess League Division A ) was the fourth edition of this competition. Champion Shanghai Jianqiao University , while the defending champion Shandong Torch Real Estate had to settle for fifth place. The team from Zhejiang Province was promoted from Division B. This achieved relegation, while Guangdong and Wuxi Tiancheng Real Estate had to relegate (since this season two teams have been relegated). mode
The ten teams competed in a double round-robin tournament . The number of team points (two points for a win, one point for a draw, no point for a defeat), then the number of board points (one point for a win, half a point for a draw, no point) decided the placements for defeat).
Dates and venues
The competitions took place from March 26th to 28th, April 22nd to 24th, May 22nd to 24th, October 28th to 30th, December 2nd to 4th and December 8th to 10th. All competitions were centralized, namely the first three rounds in Wenzhou , the 4th to 6th round in Jinan , the 7th to 12th round in Wuxi , the 13th to 15th round in Ningbo and the last three rounds in Shanghai .
Season course
The Shanghai Jianqiao University and Beijing Patriots fought a neck-and-neck race for the title. The decision was only made in the last round, in which Shanghai narrowly defeated Beijing and thus took over the top of the table. At the bottom of the table, Wuxi Tiancheng Real Estate was already relegated with three laps to go, and Guangdong also had only theoretical chances of staying up at this point.
