Chinese team championship in chess 2016
The 2016 Chinese Chess Team Championship was the twelfth edition of this competition. The champions were the team from Shanghai Jianqiao University , while the defending champion Beijing Beiao had to be content with second place. Had risen from the Division B Shenzhen Longgang team . In purely sporting terms, this would have been relegated directly with Guangdong Shenzhen Huayang , but was again admitted to the league in 2017.

mode
The twelve teams competed in a double round-robin tournament . The number of team points (two points for a win, one point for a draw, no point for a defeat), then the number of board points (one point for a win, half a point for a draw, no point) decided the placements for defeat).
Dates and venues
The competitions took place from April 12th to 15th, June 23rd to 25th, July 23rd to 26th, September 23rd to 26th, October 30th to November 1st and December 2nd to 5th. The first four and last four rounds were played in Shenzhen , rounds 5 to 7 in Tianjin , rounds 8 to 11 in Jiaxing , rounds 12 to 15 in Yangzhou and rounds 16 to 18 in Shaoxing .
Season course
Both in the title fight and in the relegation battle, the decision was made in the penultimate round.
