Martijn Dambacher
Martijn Dambacher (born October 22, 1979 in Venlo ) is a Dutch chess player who holds the title of chess grandmaster .

He won the championship of the Province of Limburg eight times: in 1998, 2000, 2001, 2007, 2008, 2011, 2014 and 2015. He won several rapid and blitz tournaments, including the Edese Schaakvereniging rapid chess tournament in 2003, 2004 and 2005 , 2004 and 2005 the Hyfass Advies speed chess tournament . In March 2005 he won the Kempen Region Grand Prix in Eersel .
In the Netherlands he used to play for Blerickse SV and then until 2013 for SC Utrecht . With Utrecht he took part in the European Club Cups 2007 and 2009. He has been playing for HMC Calder since the 2013/14 season . In Belgium he plays for the club KSK 47 Eynatten , with which he was Belgian champion five times ( 2005 , 2010 , 2011 , 2014 and 2017 ) and took part in the European Club Cups from 2006, 2008 and 2010 to 2014. In Germany he played from the 2004/05 season for SV Turm Bergheim , from the 2007/08 season for the Düsseldorf club Schachfreunde Gerresheim in the 2nd Bundesliga West and the Oberliga Nordrhein-Westfalen and from 2012/13 for the DJK Aufwärts St Josef Aachen in Oberliga NRW, 2nd Bundesliga West and 1st Bundesliga.
Since October 2005 he has held the title of International Master . He achieved the norms for this at the Lost Boys tournament in Amsterdam in 2002 , in the Dutch master class in 2003/04 and at a tournament in Amsterdam in July 2005. He has been a grandmaster since August 2014. He achieved the norms for the grandmaster title in the Dutch Masterclass 2006/07 , at the European Club Cup 2010 in Plovdiv , in the Dutch championship 2010 and in the German 2nd Bundesliga West of the 2013/14 season.
Dambacher's highest Elo rating was 2511 in June 2019, which puts him in 19th place in the Dutch Elo ranking.
