Spanish team championship in chess
The Spanish team championship in chess ( Spanish Campeonato de España de Ajedrez por Equipos de Club) is an annual chess event . The best teams take part in international competitions organized by FIDE and the ECU .
history
The Spanish team championship was baptized in March 1956. The first winner was the Catalan champions CA Barcelona with 22:10 after a round trip against Real Madrid. In terms of sport, the competition, mostly filled with domestic players, remained at a medium level until the mid-1990s. This changed with the engagement of world class players, who give every event a special shine through their presence. The newcomers included Anatoli Karpov , Zurab Asmaiparaschwili , Joël Lautier and the elected Spaniard Alexei Schirow . In recent years, the competition has been considered to be one of the strongest in an international comparison. In 2010, several top world champions were used, including Vüqar Həşimov , Hikaru Nakamura and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave . The Elo average on the first boards was 2687 points.
