Spanish team championship in chess 1966

The Spanish team championship in chess in 1966 was the tenth edition of this competition, this was held with twelve teams. CA Español Barcelona won by one point over pursuers CA Barcelona and CA Chardenet Madrid, while defending champion CA Alcoy had to be content with ninth place.

mode

The twelve participating teams played a simple round-robin tournament on four boards. The number of points on the board (one point for a win, half a point for a draw, no point for a defeat), then the number of team points (two points for a win, one point for a draw, no point) decided the placement for defeat).

Dates and venue

The tournament was held from June 7th to 17th at the Sociedad Bilbaina in Bilbao .
