División de Honor (chess) 2011

The División de Honor (chess) 2011 was the 17th season of the División de Honor and at the same time the 55th Spanish team championship in chess , it was played with seven teams. The team of Gros XT became champions, while the defending champion CA Colegio Marcote-EIKM Mondariz (last year CA Escuela Int. Kasparov-Marcote Mondariz) had to be content with third place. From the Primera División the team of CCA CajaCanarias Santa Cruz was promoted, which was directly relegated; in addition, CA Colegio Marcote-EIKM Mondariz withdrew its team.

mode

The seven participating teams played a simple round-robin tournament . The game was played on six boards, the placement was first determined by the number of team points (two points for a win, one point for a draw, no point for a defeat) and then the number of board points (one point for a win, half a point) for a draw, no point for a loss). The bottom of the table was relegated to the Primera División.

Dates and venue

The tournament was played in Melilla from November 21st to 26th .
